The 70Rx can shred 17 to 22 sheets per pass, with a total throughput of up to 622 sheets per minute. Despite the 70Rx's extremely high shred speeds, it complies with the stringent P-4 security standard, producing shreds that measure only 0.22 square inches (1.41 cm square). Using the 70Rx is exceptionally easy and convenient, as there is no need to remove staples and paperclips, and the unit can also shred adhesive prescription labels, and other paper label products. Only minimal training of new employees is needed, as the 70Rx's user interface is extremely simple and easy to learn. The feed glows green when it is ready to use, and inserting paper automatically activates the shredding mechanism. The feed slot glows yellow when too many sheets are being inserted, and shows a red light when the shred unit is overloaded. In the case of an overload, the auto-reverse mechanism is engaged to prevent damage. The i-control control panel presents indicator lights in a readily accessible manner, alongside the forward, reverse, and power buttons. To minimize the need to interrupt shred jobs, the 70Rx is equipped with a sizeable 18.5 gallon (70 liter) catch basket.
