Precision Data Products requires pre-authorization for the return of all products. Products not authorized for return shall be defined as "overloads". Any overloads received will, at our discretion, be returned to the customer at there expense, or processed for credit (our cost of goods less a 20% handling fee) or issued no credit.
Precision Data Products will not be liable for any loss of or damage to overloads.

What is a Return Authorization Number (RA)

A Return Authorization number is an identification number issued to a custmer who needs to return an item back to Precision Data Products for an exchange or credit. It is very important to have the Return Authorization number posted outside of a return package in order to properly process any exchange or credit.

How do I ship it back

TOP OF PAGE

Once you receive a RA please follow the shipping guide lines

Use original manufacturer's packaging along with our/or suitable outer packaging
All returns must be complete with all manuals, cables, warranty cards, static bags, just as  received
Do not write on box (you will be charged a minimum fee of $20.00 if the box is not returned in resalable condition)
All returns must have RA number clearly referenced on shipping label (copy of invoice should be included)
Customer is responsible for freight when returning product

Defective/DOA Products TOP OF PAGE

We understand how exasperating it is to get a defective, or "Dead On Arrival" (DOA) product. Subject to the manufacturer's warranty requirements, we will credit you or your account for any defective product returned to us within 60 days of the invoice date. COD customers may request a replacement on a defective return. Defective products must be returned in the manufacturer's original packaging and the carton must include all components and other items originally packaged with the product including cables, software, manuals, etc. Your customer must obtain a RA number before returning any defective or DOA products.

Damaged Goods/Carrier Claims TOP OF PAGE

Occasionally a package may become damaged due to mishandling by the common carrier. If this should happen, it is important to report the damage immediately in order to preserve any rights against a carrier.

"Exposed Damage" is when damage is evident without opening the package. The exterior of packages should be inspected prior to acceptance from the carrier. Should exposed damage be found, it should be noted on the carriers delivery bill/airbill when your customer signs to accept the package(s).

"Concealed Damage" is when the contents of a shipment is damaged even though the packaging itself is not noticeably damaged. Naturally, concealed damage cannot be detected before you accept the packages from the carrier. However, you should inspect all packages for concealed damage as soon as possible. All damages must be reported within seven (7) days after acceptance in order to process a claim against the carrier. Should you notice damage, you call at once for instructions.

You should contact your local UPS office for an inspection report. Require UPS to return the merchandise to us, do not  return the merchandise at your own expense.

Shipping Shortage TOP OF PAGE

In the event your order was short, please contact us as soon as possible so we may have the opportunity to make up the shortage.

Lost Merchandise TOP OF PAGE

Merchandise lost in shipment will be replaced after the shipment has been traced. Upon notification from the carrier of non-delivery, a claim will be filed, the merchandise replaced.

Cancellation Policy TOP OF PAGE

The majority of orders are prepared for same day shipment. We will make every attempt to retrieve the order prior to carrier pick-up. After the product has been shipped you must request a RA. A 15% restocking fee may be assessed and all freight charges (both ways) are your responsibility.
